About Me

If you're going to buy a house, shouldn't you have local expertise? Sally comes from a family that lived in Texas before there ever was a Republic of Texas. A native Dallasite who grew up in Highland Park, Sally believes that some of the most fortunate people in the world are those who get to make their home in Texas.

Sally first got her real estate license the summer after she married her late husband, custom home builder Greg DeBoard. Sally and Greg worked side by side for many years building homes of every size, both in Texas and out of state, from small remodel jobs to 20,000 sq. ft. homes. Some clients were even members of local professional sports teams. These experiences prepared Sally to embark on her own real estate career at Ebby Halliday, the Number 1 independent residential real estate brokerage in Texas. Many years of observing details of custom homes being constructed from the ground up and listening intently to what clients want in their homes have taught her the wisdom of having a good foundation in all life endeavors and paying attention to the small details that can make a big difference.

In addition to her housing experience with her husband, Sally worked for many years as a teacher, both in the Dallas Independent School District and Richardson Independent School District and at several local private schools. With her understanding of schools in the area, Sally can serve as a valuable resource for clients not only looking for their next home, but for  a place to raise their children.

Beyond her professional interests, Sally has numerous passions, the most important being her two children. Her daughter lives locally and works in Plano, while her son is in graduate school up in Boston. Sally is active in her local church, where she previously sang solos with the choir. She is also an artist whose work has twice been accepted as part of the permanent collection of the Smithsonian institution in Washington, D.C.
